Singapore Banks Quarterly: 2Q12 Results Review (Part 1)
Strongest and most profitable bank
In terms of balance sheet strength, UOB is the strongest with a core Tier 1 CAR of 12.3%, followed by OCBC and DBS at 11.1% and 11.0% respectively. UOB is also the most profitable Singapore bank, with the highest ROA and ROE amongst its peers.
